black screen boot on my new Dell XPS 15 9530

Hi, i have just received yesterday my new XPS 15 9530 laptop yesterday (from the new company that i will be joining in 3 days)

After unpacking, plugging in and booting the machine for the first time i have been prompted for the classical windows items like language, msft account, and some other preferences. and i have been abla to access to the windows home page.

but then the system has proposed to download and install some necessary system updates. After a 30 minute upgrade process the machine rebooted automatically and prompted my my credentials. but after showing a window splash screen I got a black screen. i can only see my mouse icon. 

I have waited 2 or 3 hours... but the screen remains black

I have switch off the laptop and rebooted 3 times getting to the same result.

This is just unacceptable for a brand new machine! this will put me in a real difficult situation for my new job.
