まずUnityでの構成情報を保存する方法として2つあります。

 

一つは参照いただいているサービスコマンドsvc_cbrでの構成情報の取得とリストアになりますが、UsageにUsage: Technical Service、同ページのNoteにも-r オプションの注意書きとしてservice personnelのみでの実行が可能、という記載があります。

 

NOTE: Requires Service Mode; this operation is for qualified service personnel only.

そのためsvc_cbrでのリストアオプションはテクニカルサポート、もしくは有資格者であるフィールドサポートでの実行のみとお考えください。

 

もう一つの方法としてUnisphere の Save Configurationからの構成情報の保存方法があります。

こちらはAdministrator権限での実行が可能になります。また構成情報のバックアップ方法としてこちらが推奨方法となっています。

・構成ファイルを使用した具体的なリストア方法

→svc_cbrに関してはサポート人員での対応になるため具体的な方法は公開されていません。

Save Configurationは再設定時の参考情報としての用途となるためファイルをインポートしてリストアという方法はなく、こちらのファイルの情報を参考に必要な項目に対して再設定を行う形になります。

 

・リストア作業の実施主体・ユーザーによる実施が可能か

→svc_cbrであればサポート人員、Save Configurationからの再設定であればお客様実施でも可能です。

 

・リストア対象となる設定および対象外となる設定

→Save Configurationでの取得情報はHelpにある通り以下になります。

About this task

Save details about the current system configuration settings to a local file. The configuration details include information about:

• System specifications

• Users

• Installed licenses

• Storage resources

• Storage servers

Your service provider can use this file to assist you with reconfiguring your system after a major system failure or system reinitialization. You can also use this file to keep a record of system configuration changes. Save the configuration settings after each major configuration change to ensure you have a current copy of the file. You can only request one save configuration at a time. When attempting multiple save configuration request, allow a request to complete before initiating the next request.

NOTE: Only details about your system configuration are saved to the file. You cannot restore your system from this file.

 

実機でSave Configuration を実行して取得した HTML ファイル（EMC-UEM-Telemetry.html）の一部分です（取得情報の参考になると思います）。

リストア対象外となるのはユーザーデータ（実データ）になるためバックアップソフトウェア、レプリケーションからの復旧が必要になります。

• Restore - No one-step restore procedure is available for all Unity configurations that you had before re-initializing. Configuration settings can be backed up from the Service page. A Save Configuration button allows you to save the configuration to a file. However, there is no way to restore this configuration automatically or manually. This save config text file is provided to be a guide for the administrator to manually re-create the setup. By referring to this text file, all configurations should be done manually by the administrator, and all data should be restored from backup media.

 

またD@RE環境であれば別途D@RE Keystore Fileのバックアップもしておく必要があります。

・初期化後、SP交換後、筐体交換後など、利用可能な復旧ケース

→初期化に関しては先述のKBの通り、バックアップからのデータ復旧、手動での設定情報の再設定が必要となります。

 

SP交換であれば正常なSPとの自動同期やシステムドライブなどから情報が複製され同期されるので特にリストアの実行は必要ありません。

筐体（DPE）交換に関しては、手順書Dell Unity™ Family Replacing a Faulted 2U DPE（ログイン必要） に「Replacing the DPE and both SPs requires a special procedure since the keystore is tied to the hardware. Do not replace all three parts at once, rather retain an SP until the DPE is online before replacing it. If all hardware was replaced, restore the keystore from a backup.」とあり、交換手順が特別に定められているので手順に従う形となります。

 

復旧シナリオに関しては障害状況などによって対応が変わるため、その都度サポートとのご相談をお勧めします。

 

・Unity OEバージョンなどの利用条件

→svc_cbr、Save Configuration のどちらに対してもVersionでの機能的な差異などの記載は見つかりませんでしたが、Save Configurationを取得する際のOEバージョン、日本語環境に関するKBがあるのでお知らせしておきます。

（日本語環境のUnity OE 5.1.0ではSave Configurationをしたときにエラーになる事象があるので該当のOEの場合はお気をつけください。OE 5.1.3.0.5.003 にて修正済みです。）

 

・利用手順が記載された公開資料の有無

→残念ながらリストアに関してまとめられている資料はない為、参照いただいているドキュメントや、先述させていただいたKBなどの情報を参考にしていただくしかないです。

 

反復になりますが、復旧においては状況によりその手順が変わる可能性があるためご不明な点はサポートへのご相談をお勧めします。

以下で理解しましたが、認識合っておりますでしょうか？

 

Unisphereの「Save Configuration」で取得する構成ファイルは、ファイルをインポートして構成をリストアするものではなく、障害後に構成を手動で再設定する際の参考情報となる。

構成情報をリストアする方法としては「svc_cbr」があるが、こちらはテクニカルサポートまたは有資格者のみ実施可能なものである。

そのため、運用上は以下の対応となる。
・構成情報は「Save Configuration」で取得する
・障害時は、取得したファイルを参照して手動で再設定する
・復旧方法は障害状況により異なるため、必要に応じてDellサポートへ確認する
・ユーザーデータは含まれないため、別途バックアップから復旧する
・D@RE環境の場合は、Keystore Fileも別途バックアップする
