The beta-preview release should be happening this spring/early summer. Based on the powerpoints I have seen, there are a bunch of new features being incorporated and ECC is becoming more important as the 'single pane of glass' for management and monitoring your infrastructure.

Sorry I can't elaborate, but the specifics are under NDA. I'm definitely excited about the future of ECC though!

So far I've been told there is nothing to see. I'm going to have to put some pressure on so I can see a PowerPoint Presentation too

it's really late for registering, but talk to your sales rep and see if you can be a beta-tester. this will give you the best access to the new feature set. Be comfortable managing from symcli, so if something doesn't work, you can still get work done!

So I checked with my Account Exec again, and now that I told him I know the presentation is out there he is willing to come demo for us

He was apparently holding off telling us until they had more info. But I need to make a call NOW on whether to upgrade to sp5 or hold off for 6.0

Does anyone who has seen 6.0 yet have any general opinions (obviously without breaking NDA). Something more along the lines of: "I can't wait".... or "I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole!" ?
