Brand new Dell Latitude 3540 fan noise

We ordered and received a new Dell Latitude 3540.  Now, several times a day, it makes the sound as if a plane is taking off.  We ran diagnostics, which gave no problem.  We made adjustments in Dell Power Management found on the site, but no solution.  Are there any other users with the same problem?  What was the solution?  Or can be the problem a lack of ventilation?
