XPS 15-9560, Bluetooth NOT working

Hi, I'm using XPS 15 9560 with Windows 10 Pro Build 17661 version and after the latest update Window10's Blutetooth Open/Close button started NOT Working.

as you can see below screenshots my bluetooth device seems ok, driver is already up to date but I'm not able to change the status of the win10's bluetooth option, it doesnt discover any bluetooth devices and not able to send/receive files to any device ( also unable to set visible my laptop on bluetooth )

I already updated all the BIOS, device drivers and windows updates but there is nothing change, could you please help me about solving this problem.

1.Win10 Opn/close Bluetooth Problem ( I'm not able to change the status of bluetooth button )- https://www.dropbox.com/s/3k1fscs1hwx4znf/win10_xps15_bluetooth_problem0.png?dl=0

4.Bluetooth Service is running - https://www.dropbox.com/s/u9mjprp1sjy7opn/win10_xps15_bluetooth_problem-service.png?dl=0

5.I previously added these devices but still not able to connect them - https://www.dropbox.com/s/kv2554hzfv841kx/win10_xps15_bluetooth_problem-bluetooth%20devices.png?dl=0

I already checked and applied the below solution but it doesn't work for me.

I have an XPS 15 9550, two Bluetooth headsets suddenly stopped working. I tried all solutions posted in this board and here https://www.dell.com/community/Laptops-General/Dell-XPS-15-9550-Bluetooth-Problems/td-p/4694493

I also tried uninstalling WiFi, Audio and Bluetooth drivers, installing from scratch using Dell and Intel assistants.

I disabled/enabled Bluetooth from BIOS.

SOLUTION:

Uninstall WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software or WIDCOMM Bluetooth Driver. This must be done via Uninstall or change program from Windows.

After this solution the bluetooth headsets work better than before because additional Hands Free drivers are installed per device.

Hi, I've exaclty the same problem and I was sure that before Win 1803 update Bluetooth working. I'm sure because outside my office (I'm a developer) I use a Logitech Bluetooth mouse that actually I can't find (none devices where found during scan process, no smartphone, no smartwatch, nothing).

I tried the ON/OFF Bluetooth switch in bios as suggested in other DELL posts but not working for me.

DELL please: any solution?

Same issue here. XPS 9560 isnt finding any bluetooth devices anymore since 1803 Windows Update. Reinstalled the Kiler drivers did nothing.

Is this a joke? No word from Dell so far? Dont all owners of a 9560 have the issue?

solution of this issue is "format and reinstall the windows" everything works very well after that.

In the Bios (F2 from power off or restart) I had to change the boot up speed from "Minimal" to "Full", which i think are the devices its starting. I apologize in advanced I'm not sure of the menu this was under but the bluetooth devices are finally back.

This Bluetooth issue happens so often to me as well. No matter how I try(driver, bios update), it continuously occur again. As the best product in Dell Line up, Dell shouldn't let this issue last like this. If I go back to one year ago, I would never purchase this Dell product again.

DrJo has the proper solution - just go search for "add and remove programs", and then search for  "WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software or WIDCOMM Bluetooth Driver" and then just reboot as suggested. Afterwards the bluetooth works perfectly - although in my case i had some devices occur twice, but both worked.

I had the same problem.  My Bluetooth would die for no reason leaving me keyboard and mouseless.   The imminent fix to get Bluetooth working again was to poweroff the laptop and disable and re-enable the Bluetooth device in BIOS.  That worked for a couple hours maybe a day.  Then I was back to rebooting and going into the BIOS.   I have a long-term workaround/fix, which is to disable management for the Bluetooth device.

Todo this:

  • open "Device Manager"
  • Select "Bluetooth" on the device tree
  • find the "Qualcomm  Atheros ..." Bluetooth controller

device_manager.jpg

  • double click on "Qualcomm Atheros ..." device
  • select "Power Management" tab
  • uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
  • powermanagement.jpg

You DO NOT need to format. Don't waste your time. This works perfectly for me and it took only under 3 minutes.  You DON'T need to spend many hours to re-install and re-setup everything.

If the Power Management tab doesn't exist in the device properties right click on the Qualcomm Atheros QCA6x4 Bluetooth device with a yellow exclamation mark or similar, "Disable device" then "Enable device". This actually brings back the bluetooth manager and your paired devices should connect (for a short term fix until the next hibernation when it decides not to turn the device back on), but it also also brings the Power Management tab in the device properties.

Note: I never had to turn off and on the bluetooth device in the bios.

Thank you!

My new bluetooth Microsoft Surface Keyboard was disconnecting constantly and this seems to have fixed it.

To help others find this, my setup is a 9560 XPS 15 with the Intel WiFi and Bluetooth chip.

I just fixed mine - didn't have bluetooth in drivers, didn't have widcom in add/remove programmes which only shows aps now so couldn't do any of this. Did though find qualcom bluetooth 64 but couldn't delete/do anything with it so went on the net for a replacement - found a download on the lenovo site, reloaded and everything is fine now (there were some other sources but no idea if they were legit or not) https://support.lenovo.com/in/en/downloads/ds104695?cl=1 On a different note - hat world do we live in where product support - MS/Dell etc is actually provided by people having to fix and report their problems by themselves - this should be for tweaking/finding extra value not fixing problems for **bleep** IT companies!

That hasn't solved it for me. My XPS15 9560 has been fine with my Logitech M535 mouse until yesterday, when it just no longer worked. I removed it from devices and then added it and it was fine for a while, but has lost communication with it again and now just will not work. I've changed the battery on the mouse just in case, but it just won't work. I've tried all of the above. I've tried installing the latest Killer drivers but nothing. The strange thing is that the laptop shows it as connected, but there's no response at all. I've had to dig out an old wired mouse as I can't do anything with just a touchpad, not what I'd expect from a £1500 laptop. Does anyone else have a solution that might work? I've spent (ie wasted) hours today trying to resolve it. Not happy.....
