Aurora R13, DDR5 4400MHz almost impossible to buy

I thought that something is not completely ok with specs on Dell website so I opened the Aurora R13 and I have found DDR5 4800. So you are absolutely correct. 

Thanks F34R, I have ordered 3x 16 GB DDR5 4800 to add to the existing 16GB DDR5 4800. Hoping to see 64GB at 4000Mhz. If this will not work then I'm returning Aurora R13 and leaving a negative review. Dell is advertising this machine as one that you can upgrade to 128GB but in the reality memory sticks are impossible to buy.

I have the exact same issue, exact same model. So we can purchase any DDR5 ram even if it’s 4800, it will just limit it. But we do have to remove the existing memory it can with and replace not add to it?

Dell systems are very picky regarding RAM compatibility. If you simply add more RAM to existing RAM it may or may not work. If you want to add RAM then Crucial is the best place to go for the most compatible Dell RAM that has the best chance of adding to existing RAM. But I always advise replacing all RAM with a kit that consists of matched and compatible RAM. And yes as I stated in a prior post 4800 RAM will run at 4400.

I have added 3x Crucial 16GB 4800 Mhz (here) to the existing 1x 16GB 4800Mhz that was originally supplied by Dell. And it works, 64GB in total, 4000Mhz detected by BIOS and Win11 as per Dell specification. So far no issues, no blue screens etc. but I will keep posted if something will go wrong.

Forgot to add 1 important point: If you use 2 memory sticks, you will get 4,400 Mhz. If you use 4 you will get 4,000 Mhz.

That is the original Intel specification.
