Brett Hansen, is Executive Director Marketing End User Computing Software and Mobility Solutions. In this role he is responsible for planning, defining and launching software for all Dell EUC devices. His team works intimately with CSMB, Business Client and Mobile product planning teams to identify customer requirements and lead the definition and implementation of software capabilities. In addition, he is responsible for Dell Mobility Solutions planning with responsibility to identify and plan x-Dell solutions to address customer mobility requirements. In these roles he is looking to transform Dell software capabilities to deliver differentiated Dell customer value.
Prior to joining Dell, Mr. Hansen spent 12 years with IBM Software Group. His most recent positions was Director, IBM Tivoli Demand Systems Marketing where he help global responsibility for generating and managing the Tivoli pipeline. This responsibility includes defining the go-to-market strategy for Tivoli marketing and the successful application of strategy with individual geographic organizations. He also leads the development and execution of the global demand program strategy including campaign design, asset development, global events, virtual marketing and the Tivoli Web. Additionally, he has responsibility for IBM business partner channel marketing which includes supporting business partner pipeline creation, co-marketing activities, and joint marketing.
Prior to this appointment, Mr. Hansen was Director, Rational Pipeline, IMT Management and General Business, Channels Marketing, where he was responsible for developing and supporting a global market management strategy and teaming with local organizations to support pipeline generating activities across all rotes to market. During his tenure he led efforts results in the dramatic expansion of the business partner channel. Mr. Hansen has also held roles with IBM’s ISV and Developer Relation including Program Director, ISV Relationship Management with responsibility for defining and executing a strategy to engage 1,000s of IBM ISV business partners to drive platform adoption, generate joint pipeline, and forge joint sales relationships. Prior to this role he was Program Director, Technical Enablement Marketing, where he led the development of the global enablement strategy for ISVs and supervised the Virtual Innovation Center, IBM’s virtual enablement portal providing resources and support to over 6,000 business partners.
Mr. Hansen previously was Marketing Executive for Americas WebSphere Marketing, with responsibility for all marketing operations including campaigns, business partner relations, and sales enablement for North and South America. Since joining IBM in 1999, he has held various strategy, business development and marketing positions, including developing IBM's Service Provider program, marketing management for WebSphere offerings, and global e-business strategy.
