Scott Redfern is Senior Director of Product Development for Converged Systems at Dell EMC. He is responsible for strategy and development of the Vscale and VxBlock and family of Converged Systems, as well as the complimentary offerings which include Data Protection, Virtualization and management. Scott is working to deliver next generation converged infrastructure to transform the economics, agility and profitability of enterprises and service providers as they transition to cloud-enabled business models.
In 2009 Scott joined VCE (a converged systems joint venture between EMC, Cisco and VMware) from the EMC Sales organization where he was the Global Technology Strategist on one of EMC’s top 10 Global Accounts. This included developing a world-wide strategy for EMC infrastructure deployments, coordinating pre-sales engineering efforts across the globe, and developing the first managed utility service account for EMC. A 19-year veteran of EMC, Scott also held a number of other field positions including Systems Engineer and Client Solutions Leader for many New England customer accounts.
Scott is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Mass., and holds a B.S. degree in Computer Science. He has a wife and two (not so young) children. He is an avid runner, cyclist, mountaineer and backpacker; and volunteers with many organizations including the Boy Scouts and The Center for Family Justice in his hometown of Monroe, CT.
