Hello,

We have several Ricoh printers and it being a nightmare to use them with vworkspace windows connector.

Sometimes the printers appears like gray and it is not possible to use them to print. On this case we have to remove them from the vdi and restart it.

So if some one has similar environment i would appreciate if you could share some tips about what drivers and configuration to use.

are the printers locally connected to the client devices?

If yes, do you use the Microsoft printer redirection, vWorkspace EOP printers or both?

I assume that you are connecting to Windows Server 2008 R2 full desktops or do you use published applications?

Hello Holger,

They are network printers, attached to client computers running windows 7 or XP, all of them on a LAN. The client computers connects each one to individual VPS, running windows server 2008 R2 (trough a ADSL connection).

We use EOP printer functionality but we would use what less problems generate (what I do not know if we have disable windows printer redirection). But sometimes we found that using vworkspace printer driver on remote VPS, it looses some functionalities like print in color or similar.

Mainly we have rico aficio mp c2800 printers and also some Zebra printers.
