Linux Connector USB module compile
Hello all,
I would like to share with the community a workaround for installing vWorkspace Connector on Ubuntu 10.04/10.10
I can't remember if we had the same problem on the previous Ubuntu versions or any other linux distribution.
The issue is about the usb module compiling.
The AppPortal installer runs succesfully and even works for connection with vWorkspace farms, but the installer complains about not being able to compile the usb-server module.
To successfully compile the module we need to include a line in the usbd.h file.
This file is located at /usr/local/src/qrdesktop/extensions/usb-server/modules/src/usbd/usbd.h.
Edit this file and add the following line at the top of it:
#include
And try to compile again.
To do this, open the directory usr/local/src/qrdesktop/extensions/usb-server/ and execute the script install.sh with the install option (eg. ./installer.sh install).
If you try to re-run the connector script you still going to get the same error because for some reason, every time we run the script the usbd.h file is overwriten and the previous added line is deleted.
Don't forget to have the linux-headers installed with a symbolic link to /usr/src/linux.
It would be nice if we could get this line added in the proper file on the next release.
What you say guys? Am I the only one who got this issue?
