Outlook asks a new profile when MetaProfiles is enabled, How to get around this

After implementing Meta profiles and mapping application data, local settings and other user folders the outlook has started behaving. It asks for a profile creation everytime and doesnt retain the settings.

I have added the registry key for HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Office/Outlook for metaprofiles too however that doesnt give any impact. Please share how shall this be solved

We are running Terminal server 2008 R2 with Outlook 2010, Is there a list for these locations which could be used.

Hi Sabby,

What OS version and what version of Outlook are you using?

There have been quite a few changes to locations of both Files and Regitry settings depending on the versions used.

Cheers,

Dave

Try use these Keys:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0

This fixed one part of profile configuration however it keeps forgetting any changes made to it, For example my signature keeps resetting to blank,

The signatures are in appdata user profile folder.

Configure the Folder Redirection Policies to redirect the appdata folder to file server, or you may try configure the Metaprofiles IT to sync the appdata folder with the Outlook Signatures.

Follow the paths of appdata folder:

AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\UProof

AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Proof

AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\office

AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook

AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures (can you sync this folder with Metaprofiles IT)

AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook
