Problems with duplicate MAC Address when creating new virtual desktops

We are using the MAC Address Management of vWorkspace. This means that we have the option set as in attachment pic01 with Base MAC Address. This worked fine so far. Now we would like to extend our VDI environment with new Virtual Machines in a new group. But now we got the issue that if we create new desktops, the connection broker is gonna distribute double MAC Adresses (see attachment pic02). And as you know this will end in a DHCP and TCP/IP mess. Even if we set the Base MAC Adress to a new range, the connection broker still distributes the old MAC Adress Range. We have reboot the connection broker more than on time and the issue is still the same !

Does somebody have any ideas or even solutions to this issue ?

If you need any further information just let me know.

Versions :

vWorkspace Connection Broker 7.6.305.845

Client PN Tools 7.6.0.820 (Older VM's) or 7.6.0.845 (newer VM's)

Thx and kind regards

Thomas

Hello,

Mac Address management is for Cloud groups. With cloud groups, the machines get deleted/recreated very often so we need mac address management to allow mac address to be reused after a certain amount of time.

With traditional groups, the machines are kept for long periods of time so you should not use mac address management as you'll get the issue you described.

Thanks, Andrew.
