Time Zones and File/Registry Redirection

Looking at the Deprecation of Support Announcements in the V8 release notes (http://documents.quest.com/QB77248) it states that you are planning to remove support for time zones and file & registry redirection in a future version. What is the reason for this as I find both of these features useful.

Scott.

Our product research indicated that this particular feature was not being used in any significant way, and didn’t justify keeping the feature in the product moving forward. That said, we want to listen to our customers, understand where they have pain and help them be successful. Can you tell us how important this feature is to your vWorkspace deployment, how much your users rely on the feature? Thank you, Marc

As we have multiple time zones in Australia, the time zone feature is useful to ensure different offices get the correct time zone in their sessions without having to worry about the time zone set on the client device. We can just set a time zone based on client subnet.

Using the file and registry redirection feature is the only way we have managed to get some applications to work on a terminal server.
