wireless

i have the inspiron E1505 laptop and to hook up to a wireless router so i can use my internet anywhere it says to use the flash drive and hook up the flash drive to your router too. but the router i have doesnt have a flash drive connection on it. i have the Linksys wireless G router. so how can i go about hooking up my wireless network??

By anywhere, I hope you understand that this means anywhere "within range of the router".
 
I don't know what instructions you are following, but no flash drive is required to set up a wireless internet connection to the router, and I know of no instructions that would tell you to plug a flash drive into a router (I know of no routers that have a USB port for this purpose).  Have you tried instead to use the set up guide that came with the router?

the instructions i was following are the wireless network wizard that is on my laptop through windows. i havent tried the instructions that came with the router yet. i will have to try those next.
