This 4-day instructor-led course will focus on the knowledge and skills necessary to configure Virtual Link Trunking (VLT) and the use of Dell’s Active Fabric Manager (AFM) proprietary automation tool. The course will also provide an overview of the Dell Networking product lines for Data Center including the Dell C, S, Z series, and MXL switch series. In addition, networking topics including VLAN, Spanning Tree, VRRP, and routing protocols will be discussed. This course also includes an exam. Upon successful completion of the exam with a passing score of 80%, your course certificate will be available to print out.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
Identify the Dell Networking product portfolio, the architecture and components of the different series switches, including Open Networking ready switches
Use the command line interface to configure switch behavior and solve basic troubleshooting issues
Learn the different implementation of Spanning Tree in Dell Networking and configure MSTP
Identify the type of ACLs used in Dell Networking, implement and test proper functioning
Become familiar with VRRP configuration and use case scenarios
Become familiar with the use of IP version 6 in a data center environment
Learn OSPFv3 implementation in Dell Networking
Configure proper stacking with Dell Networking switches
Understand the component of VLT, configure and troubleshoot implementation
Learn how to design a fabric, deploy and validate with Active Fabric Manager
