A Valentine’s Day KISS from VSPEX BLUE: (Kiss It Simple, Stupid)

EMC VSPEX BLUE: Keep It Simple Stupid“VSPEX Blue is EMCs EVO:Rail”  Absolutely true, EMC has embraced the EVO:Rail program providing a Hyper-Converged Infrastructure designed for rapid deployment of Enterprise Cloud.  Remember, VMWare EVO:Rail is all about keeping it simple (KISS), simple to deploy, simple to manage and simple to acquire.

EMC has taken the concept one step further, not only delivering on the concept of EVO:Rail but extending the concept with the VSPEX Blue Manager.  VSPEX Blue Manager

Of course the hardware is cool too!  Each appliance includes 4 server nodes in a 2U chassis.  VSPEX Blue can scale to 4 appliances all managed within a single management interface based on the EVO:Rail stack.  VSPEX Blue was launched at the VMware partner exchange 2014.   I spent some time with Matt Cowger in the EMC Booth to take a quick look at VSPEX Blue.  Thanks for watching.is designed to extend the simplicity of EVO:Rail.  An intuitive dashboard delivers live Monitoring and Health statistics, including a

visual representation of the hardware.  Of course, VSPEX Blue comes with the EMC Support you would expect, 3 years with phone home capabilities.  Within the VSPEX Blue manager interface you will also find the VSPEX Blue Market Place.  The Marketplace is the EMC extension to the standard EVO:Rail management interface.  The market place delivers a central location for extending the capabilities of the deployed infrastructure.  Need additional storage capacity? You can easily download and install EMCs CloudArray and connect your VSPEX Blue appliance to a cloud provider of your choice, more than doubling your usable capacity.  Need advanced recovery services for applications?  Download and install EMC RecoverPoint for VMs for VM level recovery.  Looking for a disk-based backup solution?  Download and install VMware vSphere Data Protection.   The Market plan lays the foundation for additional services and capabilities.
