Dell and Microsoft Make Cloud Solutions Simpler and Easier

Customers continue to tell us that they want to deploy cloud or ITaaS capabilities within their secure environment, but they need simpler and more scalable solutions to do it more effectively.  With that in mind, Dell and Microsoft partnered together to develop new solutions and services that are optimized to help our customers deploy on premise private cloud services.

Coupling Dell’s converged infrastructure solutions with Microsoft’s Windows Server and Cloud technologies, customers can quickly enable private cloud deployment by minimizing design risks and reducing deployment time while providing critical features such as platform enhanced tiering and data placement.

These cloud solutions are flexible and can be deployed in both Small and Medium Business offices as well as large enterprise environments.  One solution leverages Dell PowerEdge VRTX which incorporates servers, storage, networking and management into a single office-optimized chassis, creating simplicity in the datacenter and providing a complete solution for regional or branch office deployments.  The other solution provides extreme scalability with smart monitoring and management capabilities through the use of Dell’s enterprise blade portfolio, Dell Compellent Enterprise Manager and the Open Manage Integration Suite for System Center.

To complement these solutions, Dell and Microsoft developed a new infrastructure consulting capability, Dell & Microsoft Private Cloud Acceleration, which helps customer take the first step towards an efficient enterprise.  Dell & Microsoft Private Cloud Acceleration is designed to improve infrastructure management and reduce costs commonly caused by virtualization sprawl and fragmented data centers.  This service enables customers to automate and integrate their cloud with existing systems, dynamically monitor for business continuity and disaster recovery, and rapidly provision to the public cloud through Windows Azure-based, policy-driven provisioning.
