This is an advanced course for SC Series Storage Deployment Professionals. The course provides the foundational theory and knowledge required to complete the installation of Dell FS8600 storage array into new and existing SAN environments. This training is a combination of online material combined with a 2 day remote instructor led course. Successful completion of this course is required to deploy Dell FS8600 NAS products.
The eLearning course is a self-paced course that provides the learner an overview of the Dell Fluid File System architecture. The lessons in this course will take you through an overview of: Fluid FS products and features, architecture, data protection, data management, and host integration.
The virtual instructor-led course allows the student to engage in a series of hands-on exercises that are designed to provide the skills and knowledge to perform the Dell FS8600 NAS (Network Attached Storage) Product Deployments effectively. Additionally, the course discusses the operation, configuration and management of the FS8600 and features that are included with the FS8600 enclosure.
After completing this training, students will be able to:
- Describe the basic operation of the Fluid FS architecture
- Install Dell FS8600
- Configure interconnect networks
- Create Shares/Exports
- Configure host to connect to shares/exports on the FS8600
- Create and explain Snapshots, replication
- Recover from snapshots and replication
- Create and explain quotas
- Perform basic maintenance Operations
