CRN says PowerEdge VRTX “Helping to Redefine What the Word ‘Server’ Means”

As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and a Channel Marketing Manager for Dell’s enterprise and networking solutions, I have the privilege of helping Dell’s channel partners understand and position solutions in one of the most dynamic and transformative areas for Dell – converged IT solutions. This includes the revolutionary Dell PowerEdge VRTX, a simplified, scalable and fully-integrated “data-center-in-a-box” designed specifically for remote and small office environments.

Knowing that it would be an exciting and market-disrupting offering, we were thrilled for CRN to name VRTX its 2013 Product of the Year in the category of File Servers, calling it one of the 10 Coolest Servers of 2013. This adds to a long list of awards and recognitions, as well as numerous partner and customer accolades.

What is most exciting to me about the Channel and VRTX is that, taken together, they represent something truly unique. With the combination of a small footprint, capabilities and expandability options, high availability features and innovative, yet simplified remote management software, VRTX is a solutions platform that partners can easily leverage to take unprecedented enterprise-class features and capabilities to remote/branch offices and small and medium businesses.

Beyond the obvious deployment models, which you can explore and discuss in all their technical glory in our new PartnerDirect series on VRTX reference architectures, VRTX is a sandbox to deploy workloads and solutions for all kinds of customers such as healthcare, retail, legal and other vertical markets. And, from a partner standpoint, the manageability of the solutions allows you to sell support and services without having to rely on local IT personnel.

Several partners have already become part of the PowerEdge VRTX Solutions Ecosystem as yet another example of how Dell is taking an omni-channel approach to bring differentiated solutions to market. One such participant was Premier Partner LANAIR, whose COO Neil Hawkins said, “the interaction we had with Dell's product team early in its development really showed us that Dell is committed to developing a strong partner ecosystem."

Please take a moment to read more about VRTX and the success it already has had in the industry, learn how VRTX can be a factor of growth for your business and a unique solution for your customers, and consider becoming an influential part of the evolving and collaborative VRTX Solutions Ecosystem.
