An Edge Gateway, with powerful dual-core Intel® Atom™ processors, connects varied wired and wireless devices and systems, aggregates and analyzes the input, and sends it on. Because the Gateway sits close to your devices and sensors, it sends only meaningful data to the cloud or control center, saving you expensive bandwidth.

The Edge Gateway is made to withstand harsh conditions. It works out in the field, down on the factory floor, and stuck on an HVAC system, because it has industrial-grade form factors. Some models offer an operating temperature range of -30°C to 70°C. Gateways have a low-energy, fanless design, with wall and DIN-rail mounts.
Connect your legacy systems with a wide variety of wired and wireless connections, including from traditional serial connections, broadband and new mesh networks, so it’s easier to integrate and normalize your data.

Experts predict 26 billion or more sensors and devices will be connected to the internet by 2020. A challenge for the IoT is connecting all these sensors, devices, endpoints in a cost effective and secure way. The Edge Gateway includes a wide variety of wired and wireless connections, including serial connections. The I/O on the intelligent device makes it easy to connect your legacy industrial systems and your new mesh networks. The Gateway uses Wi-Fi, WWAN and Ethernet to connect and communicate. Then the processing power of the Gateway supports middleware to aggregate, convert and normalize data from all the disparate protocols – from ModBus to BACnet to ZigBee and more.
Power Module
Get supplementary power for a PCIe card and provide space for potential future modules. Regulate external power sources for smooth, uninterrupted service.
I/O Expansion Module
Prepare for expansion with two more USB ports, a serial port and GPIO. It can house a full-height, half-length PCIe card for use-case specific computing. The additional power module is required.
Rugged Enclosure
This lockable hardened enclosure protects from dust, oil and weather elements, while the chassis intrusion switch sends an alert in case of unauthorized access.

CAN bus
Created to provide bus arbitration and error detection with an automatic transmission repeat function, this card series drastically reduces the chance of data loss and ensures system reliability.
