Just before the end of last year, Manish blogged about Dell’s introducing ratings & reviews on Dell.com. Since then, we had already added the functionality to XPS 710 and 710 H2C systems as well.
Starting earlier today, we’ve rolled out ratings and reviews functionality to all of our Dell-branded products along with all Electronics & Accessories that we sell to home users. If you’re familiar with Amazon.com’s star rating system, you get the idea. Beyond the overall rating, you can also rate systems on several optional subcategories as well. Those will vary a bit based on the type of product—the subcategories of gaming desktop will be different from those in an entry-level notebook, for example.
End result, if you’re doing some research on some of our systems, objective ratings and reviews from customers who own that product are some of the best sources to explain why you should purchase a specific system (or not). We’ve tried to make it easier for you to tell us what you think about the Dell products you buy. It’s always good to hear what you like about our products, but we’re also interested in what you don’t like and how you think we can make them better.
In the small business section of Dell.com, we currently offer ratings and reviews functionality for all Electronics & Accessories, along with the XPS 710 and the 710 H2C desktop systems.
Lastly, we also support ratings and reviews for most Electronics and Accessories across Canada and Europe. Will also update this post as we start to expand the functionality to additional countries.
