Dell EMC Heroes Program Provides Technical Training to Partner and Dell EMC Systems Engineers

The channel contributes $43B in annual revenue to Dell Technologies; and Pre Sales is critical to educating our partners and customers. The Dell EMC Heroes Program was designed to provide timely, effective technical training to Partner and Dell EMC systems engineers. The program’s components discussed below help build a physical and virtual community for our Partners.

We launched the Heroes Program at Dell EMC World in 2017; and since then, the program has expanded globally with events in all regions:  APJ, EMEA, LATAM and NA.

The Heroes Program allows for direct, ongoing access to 10,000+ Partner and Dell EMC Pre Sales technologists throughout the year. This is Dell EMC’s single, global program focused on the Partner Community. It ensures touchpoints at all levels within the Partner Technical Community—practitioners, architects and senior technical leaders, executive technical management. The program sessions cover the entire Dell EMC portfolio including both Infrastructure (ISG) and Client (CSG). In the future, the Dell EMC Heroes Program will expand to include all the Dell Technologies strategically aligned businesses—including, Vmware, RSA, Virtustream, Boomi etc.

To achieve its stated mission, the Dell EMC Heroes Program delivers four key elements:

Heroes Exchange: Quarterly events for Partner systems engineers (SEs) and architects which feature Dell EMC technical products, roadmaps, competitive positioning, solutions and use cases. These are 100% partner focused with the Partner SE in mind—consider it a Partner User Group community. We often host these events at “cool” venues with scientific, historical or cultural significance around the world. These focused technical training events are intended to be complementary to Partner Academy and other training offerings from Dell EMC. Heroes Exchange events are aimed at IT practitioners.

Sample Agenda:

8:00am-8:30am – Registration and breakfast
8:30am-4:00pm – Technical sessions on Dell EMC Storage, Data Protection, Servers and Networking, HCI/CI, Ready Solutions and Unstructured Data Solutions
4:00pm-6:00pm – Networking reception

Partner Technical Advisory Boards (PTABs): Semi-annual invite-only events for Partner SMEs and Tech Directors; designed for Dell Technologies to receive Partner input and advice into programs, products and feature development.  PTABs are aimed at Partner SE managers or practice leads, and are hosted in region.

Heroes CTO Summit: An invite-only annual event for Partner CTOs for Partner Executive interaction with Dell Technologies technical executives. The annual Heroes Summit is aimed at partner technical visionaries to have two-way dialog with their peers from Dell Technologies.

Online Community: In addition to the events, Heroes Exchange has an online community for Partners to learn about the events from all around the world. The program’s aim is for this to be a global community of partners who can learn about and from each other. Our partners are active on social media and Heroes posts can be found under the hashtag #DellEMCHeroes on LinkedIn and Twitter.

In Q2 of this fiscal year, we launched Heroes Exchange events in the Greater China region (GC) with events in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. We were also pleased to relaunch the Client Heroes Program after a pilot series. During H2, we will include Global Alliances as another permutation of Heroes.  The Global Alliances category includes Global Systems Integrators, Strategic Outsources, Service Providers and Cloud Partners.

Whether it is facilitating medical care to the developing world or simply automating a mundane task that helps a lot of people, Dell EMC-based solutions are solving problems and this program will continue to support our Partners by ensuring they have the most up to date product information in order to serve our customers in the best way possible.
