Since we launched our new Vostro systems last week, I’ve been meeting with customers and analysts like Gartner and IDC to get their feedback and to talk about product design features. Overall, they agree with our assessment of customer need and are very positive about our channel expansion, affordable products and service flexibility (with more carry-in locations). This launch is an illustration of our continued focus on listening to customers. Plus, customers like the way the products look! In case you missed it, go to this page to see more details on the new products, including blog posts, Flickr images and more.
Steve Felice and I answered questions from the local Chinese press, as well from around the world via live webcast on launch day. It was a great privilege to get to announce our new products and show them off.
As Lionel mentioned in his post, these new systems are will available through authorized channel partners, as well as direct from Dell in more than 20 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and Latin America.
The countries and expected availability dates are detailed below and more information is available here.
