It’s been just over a year since we first launched social media training for our certified PartnerDirect channel partners. That’s a long time in Internet time – 360,000 beats in Swatch Internet Time, to be exact.
Social media has continued to evolve in that time and move more toward social business, and our training, too, has evolved. So, in response to partners’ requests for even deeper understanding, we’re excited to announce the launch of Social Media Training 2.0 for our Preferred and Premier Partners. This live monthly webinar training will build upon the foundational principles covered in our popular Social Media Training 1.0 which is now available on demand.
To help partners build their business and their social media voice, the new training will focus on advanced features and essential tactics for several popular online platforms. It will also include case studies of channel partners who applied what they learned in Social Media Training 1.0 and are excited to share how Dell’s training has empowered their social media success.
Deep dives in the new training include:

- LinkedIn – Recommendations, endorsements, polls, groups
- Industry Bloggers – Relationships, resources, influencers
- Community – Forums, peer collaboration
We’ll also share how Dell continues to use social media to improve the PartnerDirect program experience for our channel partners. We hope it will be an active and collaborative session in our many online conversations—especially through the newly launched PartnerDirect community on the Dell TechCenter.
