Reliable power protection
IEEE let-through ratings and regulatory agency complianceAPC surge protectors undergo stringent testing by IEEE, and are awarded "let-through ratings", which indicate the maximum voltage level that can possibly reach your equipment after a surge or voltage spike has passed through an electric surge protector. Lower IEEE let-through ratings indicate better protection and performance. The APC Essential SurgeArrest series offers optimal performance with a let-through rating of less than 400V for North American products, and a rating of less than 15% for products sold worldwide.
Convenient and Safe for at Home or in the Office
Data-line ProtectionProtection of the phone line ensures complete protection of your equipment from surges. It is very important to protect your equipment from “back door” electric surges traveling through any data lines, as they can be as damaging to your equipment as surges traveling over power lines.
Ensures maximum protection
Fail Safe ModeMost other surge suppressors continue to let power through even after their circuits have been damaged, leaving your equipment exposed to future surges. APC's SurgeArrest fail safe, which means that once the circuit of an APC SurgeArrest has been compromised the unit disconnects equipment from the power supply ensuring that no damaging surges reach your equipment.
Safety-Agency Approved Protector with Lifetime Warranty
The PH12has been tested and approved to work safely by a third-party Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL). The APC PH12 surge protector features a Building wiring fault LED to warn you of potentially dangerous wiring problems in the wall circuit. The Ground OK working LED illuminates when the SurgeArrest is switched on and is supplying protection to your connected equipment. If your SurgeArrest PH12 has been damaged by a heavy lightning strike or power line surge, APC will replace it free of charge.

About APC
APC, a flagship brand of Schneider Electric, provides clean battery backup power, surge protection, and IT physical infrastructure inside and outside the traditional IT environment. Through our APC brand products and solutions, we offer certainty in a connected world. Certainty that our reliable, integrated physical infrastructure solutions are based on the fundamental premise that your data and information should — and always will be — accessible.
SurgeArrest components such as MOVs and thermal fuse ensure instantaneous reaction to lightning strikes and wiring faults. If the surge components are damaged due to power spike or over voltage, excess power cannot reach your equipment. Most other surge suppressors continue to let power through even after their circuits have been damaged, leaving your equipment exposed to future surges. APC's SurgeArrest fails safe, which means that once the circuit of an APC SurgeArrest has been compromised the unit disconnects equipment from the power supply ensuring that no damaging surges reach your equipment. SurgeArrest will warn you if its circuitry has been damaged by heavy strike or power line surge and it is unable to provide protection. Plug angle allows for equipment and furniture to be placed closer to the wall than with a standard power cord. It reduces cord stress too.
