Eaton Managed rack PDUs, also known as Switched PDUs, allow you to monitor and control critical factors such as voltage, current and power factor. This level of information allows you to make the right decision when it comes to energy consumption in your data center. Our most advanced rack PDUs, Eaton Managed units also feature outlet switching and remote site management.
Save time and money
Reboot connected devices remotely with individual outlet switching.

Easily organize demand
Color-coded outlet sections match circuit breakers for easy installation, preventing unbalanced demand loading.
Reduce network costs
Connect up to eight PDUs using the same IP address, reducing network infrastructure costs by up to 87.5%.
A “U” or “RU” refers to the unit of measurement for racks, PDUs, and UPS products. Rack unit size is defined by the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA). 1U is equal to 1.75” or 44.45mm. Many rack power distribution units come in 0U (vertical mounting), 1U or 2U (horizontal mounting).
Yes, the Eaton Rack PDU products have universal mounting hardware that will allow it to mount into our competitor’s products. Our tool-less mounting buttons allow the PDUs to seamlessly mount no matter the enclosure.
Yes. Our Managed PDUs, also known as switched PDUs, have a network module that will allow remote management via web or SNMP protocol. Using this in conjunction with our Intelligent Power Management Platform will allow you to have total control of the equipment in your network.
Daisy chaining is a method of linking PDUs that allows for up to 8 rack PDUs to use the same IP address. This reduces network infrastructure costs and allows you to control several groups of power supplies with a single action. This is available on our Managed PDU.
Yes. We have detailed instructions along with images in our user manual that tell you how to replace the network module. The module is hot-swappable, which means your outlets will not be affected or change state during the process.
Eaton ePDU G3 Managed technology provides a best-in-class design featuring billing grade accuracy monitoring at the outlet level on a local LCD pixel display or over a network connection. The high accuracy meter will measure current, voltage, power and energy for load balancing, capacity planning, efficiency monitoring and energy usage reporting. Outlet switching allows for on, off or reboot of individual outlets, which reduces the cost of managing remote or local IT data center environments. The robust design is UL rated to operate at 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) ambient operating temperature for containment and high temperature environments.
