Dell wants to make recycling a simple and easy process for you, so much so that we have partnered with Purolator to bring you an At-Home Pickup program. You can get rid of your unwanted equipment and avoid cluttering landfills without ever leaving your home or couch.

In addition, if you buy a new Dell product and select the free* recycling option at the time of purchase, we will recycle your old electronic equipment at no cost to you (even if it isn't a Dell-branded product.) We'll even pick it up at your home.

  1. Make sure you have backed up or transferred all data.
  2. Ensure all confidential data has been deleted from your hard drive.
  3. Find your unique identification number.
  4. Package your equipment. Note: Dell does not provide packaging materials.
  5. Fill in your information online** and Purolator will email you a prepaid waybill and instructions on how to schedule a pickup.
  6. Call Purolator to schedule your pickup. Let Purolator know you would like to schedule a pickup for the Dell Package Return Program.
Wait for Purolator to pick up your package within the agreed pickup schedule, or you may leave the package outside your door on the day you have scheduled the pickup.

Ink and toner recycling

Keep your used cartridges out of landfills as well. Did you know it takes 1,000 years or more for one ink or toner cartridge to decompose inside a landfill? You can recycle all of your Dell ink and toner cartridges — for free* — with us.
