LeyaWhen did you join Dell and what roles have you held in your time here?

I joined Dell in 2011 and have worked as a program manager and engineering manager in the online space of Dell, focusing on online customer support.

What responsibilities are included in your current role?

I am responsible for the software engineering and delivery of Dell’s Support Commerce platform, including Digital Fulfillment, Technical Support, and Customer Care products. I lead a talented software engineering organization in delivering high quality products on a foundation of architectural and engineering excellence. I am also responsible for maintaining a strong culture of innovation, creativity and fun.

How would you describe the Dell culture?

Dell's culture revolves around an open and collaborative work environment that enables team members to deliver the best outcomes. It also encourages us to think of innovative ways to enhance our customers' experiences with Dell.

What keeps you here at Dell?

Dell lets me focus equally on my career and my family. The management here continually challenges me with new opportunities and lets me choose what I want to focus on and gives me the mentorship that I need to be successful. At the same time, Dell has been very proactive about work-life balance. It provides all the resources that I need to be able to log in remotely to balance my family and work with flexible time options.

What are some projects that you have recently been involved with and some of your career highlights at Dell?

The Customer Service Engineering organization that I work for delivers high velocity improvements to a responsive, multi-channel online experience and provides software engineering support for one of the largest online retailers in the world.

What positive effects have you seen as a result of Dell’s strategy?

Dell's strategy helps the company to embrace the latest trends in the industry and fosters a spirit of innovation within the company to succeed within fast-changing market dynamics.
