There are an estimated 86 million metric tons of plastics in our oceans - that's five trillion individual pieces.

Five....trillion!

Dell is trying to reduce this by creating the world's first commercial-scale global ocean plastics supply chain. This is a fancy way of saying we're pulling plastics from our oceans and turning them into materials for our products. Specifically, the plastics used in our XPS 13 2-in-1 laptop is made up of a mix that includes 25 percent pulled straight from our oceans.

This is just the start, too. We hope to continue to expand the program in the future.
