Our People | PhillipWhen did you join Dell and what roles have you held in your time here?

I started at Dell Australia in 2006 as an Account Manager based in Sydney. I moved into the role of Enterprise Product Specialist with my past experience in enterprise software solution. In 2011, I relocated to Melbourne while at Dell Australia and took on the role of Enterprise Solution Executive responsible for the acquisition territory in the State of Victoria.

What responsibilities are included in your current role?

I recently transferred with Dell to Singapore to my current role as Server & Converged Infrastructure Leader for Dell South Asia. I am responsible for delivering the strategy for Dell’s entire server and converged product portfolio in South Asia which includes some of the most dynamic economies such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. The sheer number of emerging markets in South Asia with untapped market potential presents the opportunity for exponential growth. I am very excited to take on this opportunity at Dell.

How would you describe the Dell culture?

 Drive to Win. Value Diversity. And, It’s fun! I am extremely fortunate to have worked with a group of talented people around me over the last few years at Dell. The team always work towards the same goal while being inclusive of different viewpoints. Dell also offers a great workplace where people are encouraged to be creative. Dell also takes its social responsibilities seriously in involving employees in many charity and community activities which everyone is invited to be part of!

What positive effects have you seen as a result of Dell’s strategy transition?

As Dell becomes a true end-to-end IT solution provider, significant amount of investment have been made into key aspects of enterprise solution and service. This investment and transition have allowed Dell to attract the best of minds from the industry and continue to create a lot of new exciting solution across multiple domains and business segment. At the end of day, customer and our business partner will benefit enormously from this broad and expanding portfolio.

What role have you played in helping your customers grow and thrive?

My job roles at Dell are in a customer facing capacity, which I greatly enjoy. In working with the wider team, I had the opportunities to work with many customers to help them solve complex IT challenges and transform their legacy environment. In many instances the revamped IT infrastructure has not only become the springboard to increased productivity but unleash a new wave of competitive advantages for their success in the marketplace.

How does Dell differentiate itself when it comes to being an employer of choice?
