Tarrick Rodgers, Dell South Africa
Inside Sales Representative
When did you join Dell and what roles have you held in your time here?
I started off as an Intern, as an ASR in 2012 after graduating through the Dell Bursary Program. In 2013, I was afforded the opportunity to be a sales representative.
What keeps you here at Dell?
I love the people and customer engagement. There is always a new person to engage with and I have built personal as well as business relationships. Also learning more and more about how technology is evolving and how we as a company have evolved, is quite exciting. The highlight was the day I brought in my first big deal. However, signing my contract was a massive achievement for me as well.
How would you describe the Dell culture?
I love the Dell family. The work environment and the atmosphere in the office never make it a drag to be at work. The buzz and drive of my colleagues help to make the work life that much more enjoyable.
What do you think people interested in working here would need to know?
Dell is a great place to work and there is great opportunity for growth if you are hardworking and determined. I have grown personally on many levels. Sales were never a field of choice for me, but by embracing the challenge, I have not only learned a lot about myself, but how to interact better with others.
