Is your BIOS up to date?

To check your BIOS version do the following:

Check the BIOS version in Windows 11, Windows 10, or Windows 8

  1. Right Click on the lower left hand of your screen
  2. Click Run
  3. Type msinfo32 and press Enter
  4. Look for BIOS Version/Date on the list

The BIOS starts with A and is followed by a two digit number, A07 for example.

The BIOS update file is a self executable installer, just run it and follow the On-Sceen instructions

Warning:
  • If your BIOS version is too old you may need to flash to other versions before getting to the latest.
  • Click Other versions available under the BIOS section at the drivers site, if your BIOS version is 2 or more versions older than the latest version available then flash to each previous version
  • Never turn the system off during the update process as this may damage your system.

System does not startup after a BIOS update

No image on the screen after the BIOS update:

  1. Turn off the system
  2. Unplug the AC Adapter or the power cord
  3. Unplug the battery (Mobiles Only). Click HERE for help on how to remove the battery
  4. Press and Hold the power button for 30 seconds
  5. Connect everything back
  6. Press and Hold the Fn key while turning on the system, let go when you see the Alienware logo
