Portable POST Diagnostic Codes

Failure of a Latitude C400, C600, C610, C640, C800, C810, C840, D600, D610, D500, D505, D510, D400, D410, D800, D810, Inspiron 4000, 4100, 4150, 8000, 8100, 8200, 8500, 8600, 9100, 9200, 9300, Mobile Precision M40, M50, M60, and M70 to complete the POST (Power-on Self Test) process will result in an LED code sequence that utilizes the Num Lock, Cap Lock, and Scroll Lock. The LED codes represent specific points during the POST process of the system.
The Table 1 below, details what each Code represents during the POST process.
The following table is intended for informational purposes only, and should not be used to dispatch parts or service.

Action That May Be Necessary

The Microcontroller is handing control of the system to the processor. This code will persist if there is no processor detected. 1. Reseating/Replacing the processor.
2. Replacing the system board.
The memory is believed to be good, but it's about to be exercised. Such as shadowing the BIOS and zeroing all the memory.
