You may wish to manually install third party software on your Optiplex FX170. To accomplish this, the File Based Write Filter (FBWF) must be disabled.

Log on to Optiplex FX170 with administrator access account (Click HERE for more info on logging in as Administrator)
If local admin account TCAdmin
Click 'Start' > All Programs > FBWFGUI
If domain admin account
Navigate to directory C:/DevonIT (NOTE: your directory structure maybe different)
Double-Click file FBWFGUI
Click “Disable FBWF”
Check the box “Reboot on Commit”
Machine will reboot
Log in with elevated rights account
Install third party application
FBWF will be reset to ENABLED upon reboot
