How do I install Red Hat Linux Advanced Server 2.1 on a PowerEdge server with an Adaptec 2944 or 3944 SCSI controller? - KB Article - 174392


At the boot: prompt type linux apic.

When you install AS on a system that has an Adaptec 2944 or 3944 SCSI controller, the system might hang. If your system has one or more of the controllers, at the boot: prompt type linux apic and press the <Enter> key.
