Recycling Dell Monitors - How to get disassembly instructions for Dell monitors?




Looking for disassembly or teardown instructions for your Dell monitor? 3rd party recyclers require proper instructions for removing parts and general product disassembly instructions to ensure that they can recycle the units effectively.

If you are looking to recycle your Dell monitor through a 3rd party recycler, they will require general product disassembly instructions. Instructions for removing parts in each product can usually be found in the User Manual of the product. However, the User Manual for Dell monitors does not contain disassembly or teardown instructions for safety reasons.

Note: User Manual or User Guide of Dell monitors does not contain disassembly or teardown instructions.
Warning: Dell does not recommend disassembling any part of the monitor during troubleshooting. Using the disassembly or teardown instructions to troubleshoot any issue with the monitor may cause serious injury and/or safety hazard.

To get the disassembly or teardown instructions for your Dell monitor for recycling purpose only, send an email to Global_Support_Monitors@Dell.com with information about your monitor like model number and/or Service Tag (if available).

  1. Teardown instructions will be available in English only. Translation to any non-English languages are not available.
  2. Teardown instructions are available for Dell monitors shipped from calendar year 2018 onwards only.
    Note: Disassembly instructions for Dell monitors shipped before 2018 is not available.
  3. Instructions to repair or troubleshoot any Dell monitors will not be provided.
