Síntomas

  1. Cycle power on the Printer.
    1. Turn the printer off.
    2. Wait 10 seconds.
    3. Turn the printer on.
    4. Determine if the issue still occurs.

  2. Print a Printer Settings Report and Check the IP Address.
    1. When Ready to Print appears on the LCD, press the Down arrow button until Setup appears, then press the Check mark button or the Menu button. Setup is displayed.
    2. Press the Down arrow button until Reports is displayed, then press the Check mark button or the Menu button. System Settings  is displayed.
    3. Press the Check mark button to select System Settings. The Printer Settings page prints.
    4. Under the heading Wired Network or Wireless Network (depending on the type of network), find the line IP Address to verify or obtain the assigned IP address.
    5. Using the Printer IP Address, ping the printer.

  3. Determine if the printer is connected (ping was successful).
    • The printer is not connected to the network: Research for " Printer Communication Failure ".
    • Ping was OK:

       Windows Vista/Windows 7  Windows XP
      1. Check the Domain Status of the Computer.
        1. Press and hold the <Ctrl> and <Alt> keys, then press the <Delete> key.
        2. In the Windows Security window click Lock this Computer.
        3. Once the message Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to Unlock the Computer appears, press and hold the <Ctrl> and <Alt> keys, then press the <Delete> key.
        4. The Domain and Username information will be listed above the password field.

      2. Check the Permissions of the Folder.
        1. Right-click the desired folder.
        2. Click Properties located at the bottom.
        3. Click the Sharing tab at the top.
        4. Click Advanced Sharing...
        5. Verify the folder is shared.
        6. Click Permissions to open the Add Permissions window.
        7. Verify that your desired user is added to the folder with full control.

      3. Disable any firewall on the system.

      4. Enable NetBIOS.
        1. Click on Start and navigate to Control Panel.
        2. Select Network Connections.
        3. Right-click your preferred network connection and go to Properties.
        4. Choose TCP/IP (Windows XP) or IPV4 (Windows Vista) and select Properties.
        5. Click on the Advanced button and select the WINS tab.
        6. At the bottom of the WINS tab, click the radio button under NetBIOS Setting for Enable NetBIOS.
        7. Click OK.

      5. Register a User in the Embedded Web Server.
        1. Open a Web browser.
        2. Type the IP address of the printer and click Go.
        3. In the printer's Web page, on the left-side menu, click the Address Book link.
        4. The default username is: admin
        5. The default password is: (none, leave blank
        6. Click OK to open the address book.
        7. Click the Server Address tab, then click the first available unused Create button.
        8. In the Server Address registration form, enter a Name for the registration entry.
        9. Select the Server Type.
        10. Enter the IP-Address of the computer or server where the scan is sent.
        11. Enter the Server Port Number for the computer or server where the scan is sent.
        12. Enter the Login Name for the computer share or the server path, if the system requires data where the scan is sent.
        13. Select the Enable Password checkbox and enter the login password of the computer or server, if the system requires data where the scan is sent.    
        14. Enter the Shared folder name in Share Name or Server Path.
        15. Click Apply New Settings to update the printer Address Book.
      1.  Check the Domain Status of the Computer.
        1. Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE.
        2. In the Windows Security screen, check under Logon Information to get the Domain information.
      2. Check the Permissions of the Folder.
        1. Right-click on the desired folder.
        2. Find and click on Sharing and Security...
        3. Verify the folder is shared.
        4. Click Permissions to open the add permissions window.
        5. Verify that your desired user is added to the folder with full control.

        1. Click on Start and navigate to Control Panel.
        2. Select Network Connections.
