Updates to templates not applying to Endpoints in Dell Data Protection Enterprise Edition 7.x


When changes are made to a custom template the devices, users, or groups that already have that template applied do not get the updates.

Update a policy element for a template. Then commit the changes. No entities will receive an updated policy based on the template changes.

This is working as designed. The template is a mask that you can apply. When you do apply this mask, it makes a copy of the mask and puts the copy as the policy. If you change the original mask, you will need to update where ever you want it the changes to apply.

Apply a different template to the entity that requires the update. Save the template. Then, apply the original template again. Save and commit the original template.
