The iDRAC6 in 11G servers (R410, R610, R710, etc.) may send email alerts with a blank IP address. Some environment may block the alert emails due to the blank email address.
This issue usually occurs when the DNS domain name is not mentioned in the iDRAC6 configuration. This issue may only be seen intermittently.
Update the iDRAC6 firmware to the most recent version. Versions 1.54 and lower are subject to this issue.
