Why Are the Edges of My Copied Documents Being Cut Off Using the Dell A940 All-In-One Printer? - KB Article - 120575

Resize the Document on the A940 All-In-One Not Attached to the System

  1. Move your document to a different place on the scanning surface of the A940.

  2. Press the Reduce/Enlarge button on the operator panel until the Fit to Page option appears.

  3. Press the Select button.
    This will scale your document to fit the size paper being used.

Verify Settings For the A940 All-In-One That Is Attached To the System

  1. Move your document to a different place on the scanning surface of the A940.

  2. Click the Start button.

  3. Click All Programs.

  4. Click Dell Printers.

  5. Click Dell AIO Printer A940.

  6. Click Dell All-In-One Center.
    The Dell AIO Printer A940 All-In-One Center window appears.

  7. Under the Copy section, choose either Color Photo or Black and White photo.
    With auto-cropping on by default, this will size your document to fit on the size paper you have in the A940.

NOTENOTE: If you do not manually select either Color or Black and White copies, the image will print out only in the upper left corner of the paper regardless where you place the document or image on the scanning surface.
