Síntomas

Reset the Active Partition via FDISK.

  1. Insert a bootable floppy disk that contains the FDISK utility into the floppy disk drive.
  2. Power on the computer.
    The a:\ prompt appears.

  3. At the command prompt, type fdisk and then press the <Enter> key.
    The following message appears:

Your computer has a disk larger than 512 MB. This version of Windows includes improved support for large disks...

Do you wish to enable large disk support (Y/N)?

  4. Press the <N> key and then press the <Enter> key.
  5. Press the <2> key to Set active partition.
The active partition is indicated with the letter A in the Status column. The c: partition needs to be reset as the active partition.
  6. Type the partition number (to the right of the C:) and then press the <Enter> key.
The C: partition should now have an A in the Status column.
  7. Press the <Esc> key until you have exited from the FDISK utility.
  8. Eject the floppy disk from the floppy disk drive.
  9. Reboot your computer.

The error No SCSI BIOS Installed usually means that either no bootable device is attached to the SCSI controller or no bootable media has been installed in the respective SCSI device.

A server that previously booted successfully into the operating system (OS) will no longer boot and hangs on the message No SCSI BIOS Installed.

This problem generally arises during configuration of the server or after new disk space has been added. In order for the system to boot into the OS successfully, the partition that contains the system files must be marked as active. If it is not, the system will behave as if there is no OS installed. The error No SCSI BIOS Installed usually means that either no bootable device is attached to the SCSI controller or no bootable media has been installed in the respective SCSI device, or both.
