Process Explorer is program that would be able to show you the number of times the  processes  run. It could help us  catch the processes consuming the CPU memory not being caught by task manager. 

 
Proper usage of Process explorer will prevent the following : 
  • Waste of CPU time
  • Waste of battery (if system is using battery)
  • Waste of system memory

  • Unzip  ( no installation required)
Process explorer functions like a task manager, it is also a way to validate if the process running on the system is a valid process.
A valid process/application should contain the following  the following :
  • Description - shows what the process is 
  • Company Name - will show the company name 
  • Path - will show where the exe file lives. Command line is the actual command that is used to execute the process.



To check for a certain process’ information, double click on a process.  (setting Onenote as an example)

Checking the CPU column shows the memory usage of the certain process,  should there be a need to stop an application, double click on the program, properties screen should come up.
