How to Identify the Version of Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise


It’s important to know the version of Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise to:

  • Identify known issues
  • Determine UI differences
  • Understand workflow changes
  • System Requirements

Affected Versions:

1.0 and later




To identify the version of Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise, click on the appropriate operating system platform tab:

Versioning can be determined either through the product user interface (UI) or through the product Installer. Click on the appropriate method for more information

Note: Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise must be installed prior to identifying the version through the UI.

To identify the product version for UI:

  1. On the desktop, double-click on the DDP Console icon.

  1. Click on the Advanced Threat Protection tile.

  1. In the bottom left corner of the UI, record the Version displayed. The most important number is the third vector. In the example, 1371 is the third vector.

Note: The version of your client may differ from the above screenshot.

To identify the product’s installer version, access to the Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) component of Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise is required. The ATP component is part of the product’s master suite. For information on obtaining the master suite, reference How to Download Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise.

To identify the product version for Windows via Installer:

  1. Extract the ATP component from the master suite.
  1. Navigate to the location of the extracted ATP component
    • If extracted from DDSSuite.exe:
      • [Extraction Path]\ Advanced Threat Prevention\WinNtAll\ATP_AgentSetup.exe
    • If extracted from DDPSuite.exe:
      • 64 bit: [Extraction Path]\ Advanced Threat Protection\Win64R\AdvancedThreatProtectionAgentSetup.exe
      • 32 bit: [Extraction Path]\ Advanced Threat Protection\WinNtR\AdvancedThreatProtectionAgentSetup.exe

Note: [Extraction Path] is based on the directory chosen by the end-user. In the screenshot C:\Extracted is the [Extraction Path].
  1. Right-click the ATP Component (ATP_AgentSetup or AdvancedThreatProtectionAgentSetup) and then select Properties.

  1. Click the Details tab.

  1. Document the number under Product Name. The most important number is the third vector. In the example, 1441 is the third vector.

Note: The version of your client may differ from the above screenshot.
Note: Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise must be installed prior to identifying the version through the UI. For information on the installation process, reference How to Install Dell Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise for Mac.

To identify the product version for Mac:

  1. In the Status Menu (at the top of the screen), right-click the Dell Data Protection | Endpoint Security Suite Enterprise icon and then select About.

  1. Record the number under Version. The most important number is the third vector. In the example, 1411 is the third vector.

Note: The version of your client may differ from the above screenshot.

To identify the product version for Linux:

  1. On the targeted endpoint, open Terminal.

  1. In Terminal, type atp –v and then press enter.

  1. Record the number. The most important number is the third vector. In the example, 1471 is the third vector.
