Install the MS Fax Console Program
To install the MS Fax Console software:
Click the Control Panel icon to display the Control Panel window.
Double-click the Add or Remove Programs icon to display the Add or Remove Programs window.
Click the Add/Remove Windows Components icon on the left side of the Add or Remove Programs window.
When the Windows Components Wizard window appears, click to place a check in the box next to the Fax Services listing.
Click Next to display the Files Needed window.
Insert the Windows XP CD into the CD-ROM drive.
From the Copy files from: drop-down button, select the drive-letter that represents your CD-ROM drive.
Click OK to display several installation windows that automatically open and close.
When the Installation Complete window appears, click Finish.
Close the Add or Remove Programs window.
Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click Communications, and then click Fax.
Click Fax Console to display the Fax Configuration Wizard window.
Enter any appropriate information in the fields provided.
Select your data/fax modem from the drop-down button located below the Please select the fax device listing.
Click to select the Enable Receive listing.
|By selecting the Enable Receive check box, it allows you to receive faxes. However, selecting this option may cause the computer modem to answer all incoming phone calls in which you may not receive voice mail.|
Select Manual answer or specify the number of rings.
Enter your TSID information in the field provided.
Enter the CSID information in the field provided.
Click to select Print it on
If you want to print all received faxes, use the drop-down menu to the right of this field to select Dell Photo AIO Printer 922.
To create an archive copy of each fax, click to select the Store a copy in a folder option.
Click the Browse button to select the archive location you want.
To confirm your settings, click Finish.
Send Faxes From the 922 Using the MS Fax Console Program
To send a fax using the MS Fax Console program, perform the following steps:
Verify that the printer is connected to the computer, and that the printer is on.
Locate and open the document or file that is to be faxed.
From the printer list, click to select Fax.
Click the Print button.
Follow the on-screen instructions to send the fax.
