What Do I Do When the Keyboard on my Dell Inspiron System Stops Responding? - KB Article - 120636

Details Inspiron Keyboard Not Responding

  1. Using the Mouse, close out all running programs.

  2. Perform the necessary steps to shut the system down.

  3. Close the PC lid and unplug the AC adaptor from your system.

  4. Remove the battery from the system.

    1. Unlock the battery.

    2. Slide and hold the battery latch release all the way up until the left edge of the battery pops up.

    3. Remove the battery (Figure 1).

  1. Wait 1 minute and then insert the battery back into the system.

  2. Connect the AC adaptor back into the system.

  3. Open the PC lid and power the system back on.
