Keyboard Shortcut Key Functions

The below table is a list of combination short-cut key functions available on the Dell Latitude E6400, E6410 and E6500

Note: The default setting for the numeric keypad is to hold the Fn key while using the numeric keys (M, J, K, L, Y, U etc.). The Fn+F4 Numlock toggle must be enabled in the system BIOS to use the numpad in keyboard without holding the Fn key.

F1 Fn + F1 Puts the system to sleep
F2 Fn + F2 Toggles battery charging on/off
F3 Fn + F3 Shows battery status
F4 Fn + F4 Toggles number lock on/off, activated in BIOS
F5 Fn + F5 Toggles scroll lock on/off
F7 Fn + F7 Launch DCP (Dell Control Point)
F8 Fn + F8 Toggles between external display and internal LCD
F10 Fn + F10 Activates SysRq
F11 Fn + F11 Copies a screenshot into the clipboard
F12 Fn + F12 Activates Pause
Shift + Fn + F11 Fn + F11 Takes a Screenshot
Left Arrow Fn + ← Toggles ambient light sensor on/off
Up Arrow Fn + ↑ Increase LCD brightness
Down Arrow Fn + ↓ Decrease LCD brightness
Right Arrow Fn + → Adjust backlit keyboard brightness (optional)
