Installing Additional Memory in the 1720d / 1720dn Dell Laser Printers

1. Insert the additional memory

  1. Switch the printer off.
  2. Open the front cover.

    (English Only)
  3. Open the rear cover.

    (English Only)
  4. Open the side cover by pushing the two catches on the front right of the machine and swinging the cover open.

    (English Only)
  5. Open the catches at the ends of the memory slot.

    (English Only)
  6. Align the notches on the bottom of the memory module with the slot, then push the module in firmly until the catches snap closed.

    (English Only)
  7. Close the side, rear and front covers.
  8. Switch the printer on.

2. Enable the additional memory in the printer properties dialogue

  1. Open the printer properties dialogue.
  2. On the Install Options tab click Ask Printer then OK.
