What Soundbars are Available from Dell?

Dell currently has 3 soundbars available for Dell LCD displays based on the type of display and date of manufacture.

• The AX510PA soundbar for Dell E series displays manufactured before February 2014. These sound bars attach to tabs on the back of the LCD on the bottom and have a AC power adapter as the older E-series displays have no power connection for speakers. Examples of such displays: E2010H, E2210H, etc.
• The AX510 soundbar is for Dell P and U series displays manufactured before February 2014. These sound bars attach to tabs the back of the LCD. These tab are located on the back of the dispaly along the bottom. The speakers are powered through a AC power jack on the display. Examples of such displays: 2407FP, G2210, U3011, U2711, U2713H, 3008WFP, etc.
  Note: The AX510 uses a power connection from the display. If you are attaching this to a display without a power out connection, it will not work. Displays without a power connection for speakers will require the AX510PA (Power Adapter) soundbar. The power adapter is not sold separately.
• The AC511 USB soundbar is for Dell displays manufactured after January 2014. These soundbars attach to slots on the bottom edge of the LCD display (unlike the AX510 which connected along the back bottom edge) and is powered by USB port connection. Examples of such displays: E1914H, E2014H, E2214H, E2314H, E2414H, P2014H, P22014H, P2314H, P2414H, U3214HQ, U2414H, etc.

Current technology displays, such as the Dell UltraSharp U2417H display, do not have soundbar mounts as they are designed for use in multiple display configurations where mounting speakers on the display is not an optimal configuration. These displays have an edge to edge view and very little edge border.

If your display doesn't have a user guide reference to a soundbar, then other speaker options such as AC411 Bluetooth speakers would be an audio option.
