This article provides the information on "Wireless Disconnect During Out of Box Experience with XPS 13 9350 Developer Edition with Ubuntu operating system".

Wireless Disconnect

You might experience an issue where the wireless connection disconnects from the wireless network during the out of box experience (OOBE) and is unable to reconnect.

This is not an issue with the wireless network and the work around is to finish the OOBE without a wireless network connection.

Reconnect to Network after OOBE

Reconnect to the wireless network after the OOBE and rebooting the system using the below steps.

  1. Click on the wireless icon in the upper right of the desktop and choose "Edit Connections" from the drop down list.

  2. Highlight the connection and click the "Delete" button.

  3. Then Click "Delete" on the confirmation box that pops up to confirm the deletion.

  4. Once you delete the previously saved connection you can reconnect to the access point by clicking on the wireless icon in the upper right corner of the desktop and choosing the access point from the list in the drop down menu.
