NOTE: The latest version of DCSU is now Dell Command | Update and is a part of the Dell Client Command Suite. Click Dell command to go to the new page.

This page is being retained for customers who are still using DCSU 1.3 or earlier.

The Dell Client System Update (DCSU) application provides update capabilities for Dell OptiPlex, Latitude and Dell Precision client platforms. DCSU is locally installed on the target system. It includes support for retrieving and installing updates for BIOS, drivers, and system software released by Dell.

View the DCSU 1.3 User Guide for up-to-date information, including supported operating systems and models.

Note that DCSU supports only the most common updates across these systems; therefore, the updates offered and installed by DCSU may be a subset of all the updates offered on Dell's support Web site.

Dell Client System Update is primarily targeted at customers who want to manage systems on their own. The tool is designed to allow users to specify their update preferences and even apply updates based on the criticality. Alternatively, end users can use the scheduling option to keep their systems up-to-date with the systems software released by Dell.
